Danish food - any good?
I can't think of any dish that's typically Danish. There must be some, because all countries have their own specialities. Anyone been to Denmark and can recommend something good, other than Frikkadellen?

Schoolboy howler there.

Frikadellen is german. The danish equivalent Frikadeller is spelt completely differently. Its a pork burger, very nice too.

Other than that, the Danes diet consists of Tuborg lager, small fish, lichen, moss and twigs.

Sorry, rios, but frikadelle is not a burger. You normally get it with potatoes and cabbage, rarely as a burger:

But we did nick it from Germany, true.

WoW Danish Hammer posting !!

Actually when I was in Denmark the food that Danish Hammer served me up was superb not sure about the pickled herring but the dark bread was nice.

That dark, rye bread is lovely. They make that it in all of the Baltic states and Russia.

My wife fries the bread and grates raw garlic on it. Fucking lovely.
